"Sidecar Stella, Social Media, and the Art of Not Screaming into the Void"

Well, folks, it’s official: Sidecar Stella is almost ready to roll out! She’s been painted, wallpapered, and polished to within an inch of her vintage life. My stepdad has been working tirelessly on the building duties, including the windows—which, by the way, I’ve managed to sabotage multiple times by buying the wrong lifts to hold them open. (Note to self: “universal” does not, in fact, mean “will work for everything.”) But hey, we’re getting there, and she’s looking more stunning every day.

In other news, I survived the classroom sessions of my course! That’s right, I made it through the business plan presentation without the “Oscar, you’re done now” music playing me off the stage. It was a proud moment, even if I did shake through the whole thing. Now, I’ve got three months of business coaching ahead of me, which means it’s time to focus on the real challenge: finding customers. (Cue the nervous laughter.) If you know anyone who needs a mobile bar, planner, bartender or charcuterie cart for an event, send them my way. PLEASE. I’m not above begging.

Speaking of challenges, let’s talk about social media. I’m getting braver with my posts, but let’s be real—I’m no expert. My Instagram feed is a mix of “look how cute Sidecar Stella is!” and “please love me.” It’s a work in progress. And now, it’s time to dive into the world of networking. You know, that thing where you talk to strangers and try not to sound like a total weirdo? It feels a lot like jumping out of a plane, except without the parachute. But hey, I’m ready to take the leap. (Or at least I’m telling myself that.)

The support from my family and friends has been nothing short of amazing. Shoutout to Candy, Janelle, and Azure for keeping me sane, and to my mom and Marcel for their endless encouragement. You guys are the real MVPs.

Oh, and remember that stylized photoshoot we did? The bartending pictures turned out gorgeous. My beautiful niece, Moraya, looked stunning in our new uniform, and I can’t wait to see my staff rocking them at our first wedding. (Side note: If you’re getting married and need a mobile bar,  planner, bartender or charcuterie cart, CALL ME. I’m not above begging twice.)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go figure out how to update my website. Wish me luck—or better yet, send me the number of someone who can do it for me.

Cheers,

Cindy

🥂
